the people are in pieces
the pieces are consuming the money spent on living

living in a city
any fucking city
it’s all the same

there are pieces of people
working and sleeping
working and sleeping for just enough money
to eat and sleep and drive to work
and do it all again
their bodies come home slowly legs shaking from exhaustion
they’re weak from work and eating
fast food too quickly
that they forget about the bodies falling on the highways
in pieces on the highways

and in some distant country
they watch the bodies dying
another form of entertainment
to sell you on a lifestyle
to sell us on that lifestyle
well i’m not sold on that lifestyle

and I don’t know if we'll live to see the world change
but I know it will cuz it cant stay this way
and I don’t know if we'll be alive to see it
but world peace is just around the corner

I hope some of us survive
to see the pieces of bodies grow into peace
